Trail Saturday with Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail | September 12, 19, 26

Join the Friends of Mount Vernon Trail (FoMVT) to improve the Mount Vernon Trail on September 12, 19, and 26 at 9:00 a.m. in Theodore Roosevelt Island, Riverside Park, and Gravelly Point for National Public Lands Day! Volunteers will remove vegetation, pick up trash, and remove ivy from the fence near the entrance of the trail.

Various Artists - The Art of Seeing at Mason Exhibitions Arlington | Running through September

The Art of Seeing exhibition features students' works of art at George Mason University from Painting II and Advanced Painting classes. Through the study of human figure, color, light, and tone, they demonstrate that painting begins with learning to truly see. These large-scale works extend beyond technical skill, inviting viewers into a deeper conversation about the content of their artwork, their experience of the world, and their relationship to their viewer.
