Gravelly Point is a National Park Service sight in Arlington, Virginia. It's located along the George Washington Memorial Parkway, just north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.
Today, the park is a primary intersection on weekends of boaters, cyclists, and airplane-spotters. Its unique location just a few hundred feet from the north end of Reagan's runway 1/19 makes it one of the best spots in the United States for airplane-spotting. Bring a picnic lunch, frisbee and/or your bike and explore beautiful scenic views.
The park is accessible by car via the northbound lanes of the George Washington Memorial Parkway; and by bike and by foot via the Mount Vernon Trail. There is an on-site parking lot and boat ramp.
