One of the best things about the capital region is that you can walk virtually anywhere!
You can easily walk from Arlington, Virginia to Washington, D.C. to see the National Mall, Georgetown and other attractions. Plus walking across one of the many bridges offers you great views of the city and the Potomac. With all of that walking, you and your feet are going to get tired.
Even the comfortable shoes that took you all over monuments, memorials and museums are screaming for a break after a well-spent day. If you forgot to bring some comfortable shoes, stop by Pentagon Row or Fashion Centre at Pentagon City or Pacers in the Clarendon neighborhood for some "sole searching."
You can always end your day with a good old fashioned soak, and Arlington has several hotels with hot tubs for a whole-body soak:
• Crystal Gateway Marriott
• Hilton Garden Inn Shirlington
• Hyatt Regency Crystal City at National Airport (outdoor whirlpool)
• Residence Inn Arlington Courthouse
• Residence Inn Arlington Pentagon City
• Westin Arlington Gateway (whirlpool open weekends)
