The county received a 100% rating in 2024 for LGBTQIA+ rights by the Human Rights Campaign Municipality Equality Index, was named the #1 Best Town in Virginia for LGBTQIA+ Families by Movoto, and is a recommended travel destination by Passport Magazine.
