Overview
Located in Washington D.C.'s lively Dupont Circle neighborhood, The Phillips Collection houses a superb collection of modern art. Founders, Duncan and Marjorie Phillips, opened the museum to the public in 1921. The collection includes masterpieces by Renoir, Rothko, Bonnard, O'Keefe, and van Gogh. The museum selectively acquires new pieces by contemporary artists. Their award-winning programming includes esteemed education programming, the Phillips Music series, and Phillips After Five events.
