Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) Memorial Grove on the Potomac
Overview
The Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial Grove is inside Lady Bird Johnson Park on an island in the Potomac River.
The memorial was established in honor of President Johnson, who visited the spot often during his time in Washington, D.C. The memorial location was chosen by his wife and features winding paths, white pines, a granite monolith, and an open meadow.
The island is part of Washington, D.C., but located near the Pentagon on the Virginia side of the river.
