Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks
You don't have to cross the Potomac River to see capital fireworks! The Washington, D.C. Independence Day fireworks display will be held on Friday, July 4, starting around 9:00 p.m. and will be launched from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Avoid the traffic and crowds by catching the display from these spots right here in Arlington.

4th of July Fireworks Party in the Sky (21+ only) | July 4
Join Skydome Restaurant, the DMV's only revolving rooftop restaurant, for an unforgettable evening with the best view of the D.C. fireworks on July 4 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. An All-American buffet is included with ticket purchase. This event is for guests aged 21+ only. Please bring a valid ID.

The U.S. Army's Twilight Tattoo | July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
The U.S. Army’s Twilight Tattoo is an action-packed military pageant featuring Soldiers from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington’s ceremonial units, the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own." The show features performances by The U.S. Army Blues, The U.S. Army Band Downrange, The U.S. Army Voices, The Commander-in-Chief’s Guard, The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and The U.S. Army Drill Team.
Netherlands Carillon Concert Series | July 20
Enjoy sweeping views of Washington, D.C., while guest artists play patriotic music, jazz and pop on the Carillon's 50 bells. Meet on the lawn at the foot of the Carillon from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on July 20 and bring blankets to this family-friendly event.

Trail Tuesday with Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail | Tuesdays
Join the Friends of Mount Vernon Trail (FoMVT) to improve the Mount Vernon Trail Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. in Rosslyn! Volunteers will remove vegetation, pick up trash, and remove ivy from the fence near the entrance of the trail.
Plants in the Park | July 9
Plants in the Park features fun and easy plant-related activities hosted in partnership with PlantHouse, a local, experiences-based terrarium workshop and plant store, allowing participants to create and take home a themed plant project. Join in on the fun on July 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Met Park.
Fit @ The Fountain | Mondays
Join DC Fray and the National Landing BID on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. through July 28 for free, instructor-led classes at the Water Park that are sure to help you break a sweat. Each week, experience a new kind of workout with a different instructor.

Signature Theatre: The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical | Through July 13
Let’s get wild in this exciting new musical (DC premiere) about the infamous author from the mind of Joe Iconis (Be More Chill) and directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley (Come from Away). A collision of politics, counterculture and rock and roll in human form, Hunter S. Thompson is impossible to pin down. Careening from the 1940s to 2005, Thompson invents Gonzo journalism, attempts to take down a corrupt president, and quests for equality for his fellow weirdos, outsiders and freaks. THE INVISIBLE SKATE THEORY: An Exhibition on Belonging, Visibility & Skateboarding Culture | Throughout July
The Invisible Skate Theory traces the often-unseen networks that connect women, nonbinary, and queer skaters across geography, identity, and digital space. Centered in the DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia) skateboarding community, the exhibition at Mason Exhibitions in Virginia Square, explores how connection, culture-building, and resistance take shape in a scene long dominated by cis-male voices — and how those pushed to the margins have built new maps by necessity.
Threads and Expressions: A Fiber and Textile Journey at Alliance Gallery | Beginning July 10
This vibrant exhibition from the Arlington Artists Alliance showcases handwoven works by artists with disabilities, celebrating their creativity, skill, and artistic voices.
Columbia Pike Movie Nights | Fridays and Saturdays in July
On Fridays at Arlington Mill and Saturdays at Penrose Square at sunset (8:30 p.m.), enjoy FREE outdoor movie nights. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs/blankets and leashed pets are welcome, but alcohol is NOT permitted.
