Arlington's International Main Street
Columbia Pike is a bohemian mix of the old and new that truly represents Arlington's diversity. Classic art deco buildings, small-scale, specialty retail and Arlington's greatest concentration of ethnic restaurants make the Pike a unique tourist destination.
Arlington favorites such as the Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse, Bob & Edith’s Diner and Bangkok54 are all found on Columbia Pike. Direct bus routes link Columbia Pike with the Ballston and Pentagon Metro stations. And there are big plans for Columbia Pike.
Millions of dollars in capital improvements are preserving the Pike’s urban feel, and enabling a comprehensive plan for growth that will provide incentives for new retail, residential and commercial development, while maintaining the much loved character of "The Pike."
