Lubber Run Summer Concerts - Bobby Thompson Trio
Overview
Bobby Thompson is a captivating guitarist and vocalist whose distinct blend of blues and rock has earned him a reputation as one of the most dynamic and original voices in the music world today. Emerging from the vibrant blues scene of Washington D.C., Thompsons sound has been shaped by the deep influences of legendary guitarists like Bobby Parker and Tom Principato. Leading the Bobby Thompson Trio, Thompson brings a raw, stripped-down energy to the stage. The trio focuses on an intimate yet electrifying musical experience, emphasizing Thompsons virtuosic guitar work and soulful vocals. Their performances are characterized by Thompson's fearless creativity, as he continually pushes the boundaries of traditional blues while remaining deeply rooted in its authenticity.
