Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, is Tuesday, February 13, a day to celebrate. This means it’s time for the Annual Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade! The largest in the region, this parade is full of floats, colorful costumes, and of course, plenty of candy and other prizes thrown from the parade route to cheering onlookers. The parade officially kicks off at 7 p.m. at Wilson Blvd and N. Barton Street, and will continue up Wilson Boulevard, past Liberty Tavern and end on N. Irving Street. Thousands of people are expected to gather along the route to watch the range of floats, bands, decorated vehicles and marchers. Dogs and Horses and floats and decorated vehicles and music and dancers and marching groups…it’s a Clarendon tradition.
