Let’s face it – Mother’s Day 2020 isn’t going to be like most years. There won’t be that big family brunch celebration with the entire family bringing flowers, chocolates and other gifts to spoil Mom on her special day. However, several Arlington locations are doing their part to make sure Mom still gets a celebration this year.
Virtual Style and Pampering
Gossip Boutique’s Ballston Quarter location may be closed during the pandemic, but that doesn’t mean they’re not there for you or mom. Owner Katherine Glorioso Dress is there with online shopping and advice, whether it’s a video tutorial on showing Mom how to perfectly style that gorgeous new wrap or how to feel comfortable and chic while on the seventh Zoom call of the day. Check out Gossip’s Facebook, Instagram or website for all kids of special deals and options.
And that’s not all. Specialty businesses like Elodie’s Naturals are offering customized plant-based facial creams online. Kingsbury Chocolates is offering online orders of special Mother’s Day themed truffles or even a Spring Bouquet of chocolate flowers.
Mother’s Day Brunch at Home
And while that big family Mother’s Day brunch may have to be put on pause, it doesn’t mean there can’t be tasty treats as well. Shirlington’s Best Buns Bread Co. is offering pickup or delivery of its amazing baked goods. Essy’s Carriage House along Langston Boulevard is offering a full Mother’s Day menu that’s ready to go curbside to be enjoyed at home. Or send Mom on a (virtual) trip to Spain with a special Mother’s Day dinner menu from SER Restaurant in Ballston. For $55 per guest, choose a starter, main and dessert from the special menu.
