This house offers historic elegance in a park setting and is perfect for small business meetings, weddings and other private functions.
George Deming started the construction of the present day house in 1901 by moving a small frame house from adjacent property to the present day location of the house. This house has gone through several building phases with each of its owners adding and remodeling the main house. Dr. Ernest S. Hendry bought the property in 1927 and his family owned it until 1994 when Arlington County acquired it. During the time that Dr. Hendry owned the property many exotic and interesting trees were planted on the property along with the planting of a large rock garden and several small formal gardens.
