Enhanced Bus Service Started September 7, 2004 Along Columbia Pike
Arlington County and Metrobus have added new bus service for residents and workers in the Columbia Pike corridor of the county. This new “family of services” is called Pike Ride and it will provide more destinations, more service, and more choices.
The new service will result in a 45% increase in service during weekdays, a 64% increase on Saturdays and nearly double the current service on Sundays.

Pike Ride buses continues to provide riders with service to the Pentagon on the 16A, B, D, J, F routes. New service has been added going to Pentagon City, making it easier for riders who transfer to Metrorail to get a seat during rush hours. ART-Arlington Transit routes have been added to serve the neighborhoods along the Columbia Pike corridor and will run every 30 minutes during extended weekday rush hour periods.
