Arlington County welcomes thousands of visitors to the Washington, D.C. area from around the world each year. Arlington's Visitor Services have been carefully selected to provide the most useful information to visitors in the neighborhoods in which they are staying and visiting. Whether our "Rolling Concierges" on Segways greet you in Crystal City, or you utilize Arlington's "green", electric-powered Mobile Visitors Center at an Arlington event, Arlington Convention and Visitors Center staff are here to make sure your visit to Arlington is enjoyable, fun and easy.

Arlington Visitor Services include:

  • One of the first of its kind in the country, the Mobile Visitors Center is a dynamic addition to Arlington's scope of visitor services. From March through November each year, the staffed, clean-energy vehicle will be deployed near Metro stations in six of Arlington's urban villages to provide visitors with shopping, dining, sightseeing and entertainment information. In addition to picking up tourism materials and getting personalized guidance for exploring the capital area, guests can experience local sights and sounds on the center's high-definition screen; locate neighborhoods, Metro stops, shopping venues and other key sites on a large map display; or have a team member arrange dinner or theater reservations via a wireless laptop.

  • The Mobile Visitors Center will offer services in the following Arlington neighborhoods.*
Ballston: Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., N. Stuart St. at Fairfax Dr.
Clarendon: Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wilson Blvd. at N. Highland St.
    Courthouse: Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at 2300 Clarendon Blvd.
    Crystal City: Mondays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., 18th St. S. at S. Bell St.
    Pentagon City: Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., S. Hayes St. at 12th St. S.
Rosslyn: Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., N. Lynn St. at Wilson Blvd.

*Except during off-peak periods of December, January, February, the final two weeks of August, and during inclement weather.

  • Rosslyn –  a touch-screen kiosk is available at the corner of N. Lynn and N. 19th Streets.  This all-weather kiosk allows visitors to easily look up information on Arlington dining, shopping, and attractions. It also prints walking directions plus coupons from participating Arlington retailers.

  • Crystal City – Spring and summer visitors to Crystal City are greeted by staff on Segways wearing bright red shirts sporting the international “i” information symbol.  The Segway riders scout the area’s main streets during peak pedestrian traffic hours. Using an “on-board” tablet computer and wireless phones, they assist visitors with restaurant recommendations and reservations, directions to nearby stores and attractions, and information about hotels, evening entertainment, transportation and more.

  • Throughout Arlington, visitors will see the new Arlington Mobile Visitors Center, a "green" electric-powered center deployed in the Fall of 2010.

For telephone assistance weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., visitors may call (800) 677-6267.
