The Perfect Valentine’s Day for Your Personality

The Perfect Valentine’s Day for Your Personality

Whether you’re celebrating the season of love with a partner or loving the luxurious single life you lead, if you find yourself in Arlington this Valentine’s Day you can be sure there’s something to do that suits your style just right.

[For the Active]

Glide around the rink in the Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Holding hands is recommended (to keep from falling, of course). In the event that happens, at least you’ll have someone there to help you up.

Bundle up and rent bikes from Capital Bikeshare, and plan out a fun sightseeing route past some of our major Attractions with the help of BikeArlington.

Discover beauty and history by foot on one of WalkArlington’s neighborhood walkabouts.

Show off your impressive dance skills at The Salsa Room or Clarendon Ballroom, two venues sure to get your heart pumping.

[For the Entertainment Enthusiast]

Warm up with a laugh and an Irish coffee at RiRa Irish Pub in Clarendon during their open mike comedy show on Wednesday nights.

Take advantage of the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse’s two-dollar Tuesdays on February 14, or wait until later in the week for their other great events like wine night at the movies or the live comedy show.

If you prefer live actors to cinema screenplay, you have a few options to choose from. Grab tickets and see Genesis Reboot, where an angel and a demon retell the story of creation from their perspectives, at Synetic Theater. At Signature Theatre choose from the show Un-American, a story about two rival high schools who set out to compete in a game show and end up with a clearer sense of identity, or Really Really, a contemporary drama about the harsh reality of today’s youth.

[For Flavor Seekers]

Find what pleases your palate at Northside Social’s wine bar, or share a bottle at Tallula, where they have over 400 varieties of wine to choose from.

For fare made to share, pop into The Melting Pot and enjoy fondue for two, or head across town for some tapas at La Tasca, best complemented with a glass of their homemade sangria.

Take the accredited advice of the Washington Post’s Going Out Guide, and visit Eventide Restaurant, voted “best romantic restaurant,” or Lyon Hall for the “best happy hour to impress a date.”
